📋 About This Exam
National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official notification for Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026. This national-level Computer Based Test (CBT) determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) with stipend of ₹37,000/month, appointment as Assistant Professor in Indian universities, and admission to PhD programmes. Exam is conducted in 5 subjects: Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Earth Sciences. Eligible candidates with Master's degree (55% for General, 50% for SC/ST/OBC) or final-year Master's students can apply online at csirnet.nta.nic.in from 27 May to 19 June 2026. Exam scheduled on 17th and 18th July 2026. Application fee: ₹1150 (General), ₹600 (EWS/OBC), ₹325 (SC/ST/PwD).

JRF Stipend (₹/month):
- Year 1 & 2 (JRF): ₹37,000/month + ₹20,000 annual contingent grant
- Year 3+ (SRF — after PhD registration): ₹42,000/month
✅ No end period for the validity of Assistant Professor qualifying certificate.

- Candidates with 4-year / 8-semester Bachelor's degree with minimum 75% marks (relaxation 5% for reserved categories) — eligible for JRF + PhD only, NOT for Assistant Professor
- PhD holders whose Master's was completed by 19 September 1991 get 5% relaxation (55% → 50%)
