What is the Scheme?

✅The award is aimed at recognising Higher Secondary (Class 12) students in Assam who have secured 80% or more marks in the HSSLC Examination 2026 conducted by the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB). Selected girl and boy students will be provided scooters, along with free registration, insurance, and a helmet.

Objectives of the Scheme

Foster a sense of competitiveness and encourage students to perform better academically
Motivate students to pursue higher education
Improve mobility and ease of access to higher education institutions
Enhance the Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) in Assam

Eligibility Criteria

Applicant must have scored 80% or more marks in the HSSLC Examination 2026 (ASSEB)
Students in the betterment or reappearance category are NOT eligible
Applicant must be a resident of Assam
Students studying in institutions outside Assam are also eligible, provided they hold a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) of Assam
The scheme is application-based only — no offline applications will be entertained

Applications submitted after the closing date will not be entertained. Applicants must fill in all required fields accurately, as the information furnished will be verified.

Distribution Process (Brief)

The list of students scoring 80%+ will be sourced from ASSEB.
The beneficiary list will be published on the DHE website.
Eligible students apply online through the designated portal.
Nodal Principals (notified by DHE) will facilitate distribution, collect Appreciation Certificates, and coordinate with dealers.
Government will bear the cost of scooter registration, insurance, and a free helmet — students do not pay anything for these.

Note: Beneficiaries of this scheme are not eligible for the Nijut Moina Scheme. However, a girl beneficiary who opts out of the scooter may apply for Nijut Moina instead.
